LG MoodUP & designer duo Gauri & Nainika partner for LFW India

LG MoodUP collaborated with top designer duo Gauri and Nainika for an unconventional presentation at the recent Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) in partnership with FDCI. It was a look at fashion that not only brought a dazzling array of colours inspired by LG MoodUP, but unveiled a luxury in style from the Gauri and Nainika Fall/Winter 2024 collection.

The print story was a vivid burst of colours and bold floral designs. It was mesmerising to see the oversized peony blooms as they danced in gay abundance with the intricate rose creeper patterns. The colour card played with deep pink, rich yellow and soft pink, while fuchsia and bottle green brought in variety. The Gauri and Nainika hot favourites like red, ivory and black ensured that the colour palette remain regal and stately, the company said in a press release.

At the recent Lakme Fashion Week, LG MoodUP collaborated with designers Gauri and Nainika to present a collection inspired by the vibrant colours of LG’s new product.
The show featured a luxurious palette, with opulent fabrics and intricate embellishments, reflecting the duo’s signature style.
The collection included voluminous gowns and structured dresses.

When it came to the fabric choice, the designers went for opulence. Raw silks and duchess satin shimmered on the runway and made amazing style statements of richness. An occasional glam creation was designed in royal velvet that fitted the look of unapologetic, formal elegance. The jewel tones of the creations were dappled with intricate crystal and pearl embellishments, which elevated the looks to an imposing level.

There was an addition of stunning voluminous gowns and structured midi dresses that glided down the catwalk. The shirt dresses had an interesting flow, while crepe brought a new dimension to the line. Chiffon came in to add that delicate touch of charm to the collection. Bringing in more silhouette options, the pair created an innovative look for the corsets, with ruffles, crystal embroidery and highlighted them with 3D florals.

Taapsee Pannu made a sensational showstopper, as she glided in a black, will-power, velvet, fishtail gown, edged with crystals and a floor-sweeping, matching black cape.

“We are thrilled to have collaborated with LG MoodUP this Lakme Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI. The collaboration extends beyond the vibrant colours inspired by their new concept refrigerator. The modern and sleek design of the refrigerator, with its timeless luxury and elegance, mirrors the ethos of the Gauri & Nainika Fall Winter 2024 collection. Just as the refrigerator seamlessly integrates innovation and sophistication, the garments effortlessly marry classic silhouettes with contemporary flair. The synergy between their aesthetics and the Gauri & Nainika fashion narrative underscores a shared commitment to merging design with timeless elegance,” designers Gauri and Nainika said.

“Walking for Gauri and Nainika at Lakme Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI was an exhilarating experience. I’m truly honoured to be a part of the unveiling of the LG MoodUP refrigerator and to take centre stage as the showstopper at Gauri and Nainika’s spectacular showcase,” Taapsee Pannu, the showstopper, said.
