The Godzilla films have dealt with themes including war, atomic bombs, and pollution over the years, but the director of Godzilla Minus One is now turning his attention to food waste.
Takashi Yamazaki has unleashed Foodlosslla this week, a brand new Kaiju created for a short advertisement calling attention to the horrors of food waste.
Foodlosslla is quite literally a giant monster made out of food waste, and he’s the new official spokes-monster for Japanese food and biotechnology corporation Ajinomoto.
The monster appears near Tokyo Tower in the 80-second commercial, a literal representation of “the grief of 2.4 million tons of annual household food waste.”
