After teasing its release, Burial has finally shared his new two-track EP, Dreamfear/Boy Sent From Above, on XL Recordings. This is the first time that the British producer, whose landmark albums for Hyperdub helped popularize the label in the 2000s, has released his solo music on a different label. The 12″ vinyl version will come out on February 9 via XL, but you can listen to the digital version of Dreamfear/Boy Sent From Above below.

Burial released his self-titled debut in 2005 and followed it with his breakout record, Untrue, in 2007. Since then, Burial has rolled out shorter releases instead of traditional full-length albums, including a handful of EPs collected on the compilation Tunes 2011 to 2019. More recently, he’s shared the EPs Antidawn and Streetlands, as well as collaborative EPs with Blackdown, Four Tet and Thom Yorke, and, last year, Hyperdub founder Kode9.
