Alana Haim and Teyana Taylor will star in a new Paul Thomas Anderson film, a source confirmed to Pitchfork. The news, broken by The Hollywood Reporter, completes the unnamed movie’s main cast, which already included Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, and Regina Hall. Wood Harris and Shayna McHayle are also on board.
Anderson wrote the script, and though no details on the score have been announced, longtime collaborator Jonny Greenwood has spoken of working with Anderson on a forthcoming film.
Teyana Taylor had her Hollywood breakout last year in A Thousand and One. Alana Haim’s came a couple of year’s earlier in Anderson’s Licorice Pizza. The following March, she and Greenwood accepted a Bafta award on the director’s behalf with an amusing speech.
