Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is the highest-grossing in history and the first to break the $1 billion mark, according to Pollstar data. It was also the second consecutive year of record-breaking tour revenue among the 100 highest-earning artists, both worldwide (more than $9 billion) and in North America (more than $6 billion). Beyoncé was the second highest-grossing touring artist worldwide, followed by Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Coldplay, and Harry Styles.
Beyond her ticket sales, Swift sold some $200 million in merch, not including the reported $250 million from the record-breaking Eras Tour concert film, according to Pollstar. Revenue data was collected between November 17, 2022, and November 15 this year.
Earlier this week, Time named Swift its Person of the Year: “the individual who most shaped the headlines over the previous 12 months, for better or for worse.” Read “Meet the Argentine Taylor Swift Fans Who Have Been Camping Out for the Eras Tour Since June” and, below, Pitchfork’s review of the Eras Tour movie.
