Emily Simpson is showing off the results of her 40-pound weight loss transformation – which she credits to working out, using Ozempic and undergoing liposuction.
The “Real Housewives of Orange County” star took to Instagram to share a video montage of her years-long journey. It began with a photo of the reality star seemingly struggling while on a hike and quickly transitioned into several videos of her working up a sweat.
Simpson included three clips of herself doing various gym workouts like pull-ups and cable bicep curls. She ended the video with a photo of herself flaunting her slimmed-down and toned figure in a tiny white bikini.
“Around age 42 I gained 40 pounds and it wasn’t until now (age 47) that I was able to finally get it off and feel like my old self again,” she explained in the caption.
The Bravolebrity clarified that while she feels her “strongest (mentally and physically) right now,” she “never felt ugly or not confident” in her body even when she had gained the weight.
“I will continue to improve myself daily. My only competition is Me ❤️💪🏻,” she wrote.
Can’t get enough ‘Real Housewives?’
Simpson also thanked her followers who are “always kind” while calling out the haters who “motivate me daily.”
The mom of three enlisted the help of celebrity trainer and weight loss coach Paulina Hefferan to help her shed the pounds.
Simpson has been documenting her health and fitness journey over the last three months. Last December, she admitted that she used Ozempic to “jumpstart” her weight loss journey after having a “nervous breakdown.”
However, she clarified that she only used the celebrity weight loss drug – initially intended to treat diabetes – for a month, because it made her feel “lethargic” and “not have a lot of energy.”
Simpson also revealed that she got liposuction on her arms. Since her confessions, she’s defended her fitness journey and expressed how she wished people gave her more “credit.”
“I cut out a lot of things and I go to the gym seven days a week and work out. I work out like I’m training for a fitness competition,” she told Us Weekly in July.
Simpson admitted that it still “bothers” her when people “constantly say, ‘Ozempic, Ozempic.’”
“But I don’t like that it discounts all the hard work I put in. I don’t care if you say that all you want, but at least gimme credit for seven days a week, getting up at 6 a.m. every morning and busting my butt in the gym every single day,” she concluded.
