Raquel Leviss reacts to fan backlash over Bethenny Frankel interview: ‘You’re not wrong’

Rachel “Raquel” Leviss can see why fans criticized her interview with Bethenny Frankel, during which the now-former “Vanderpump Rules” star discussed her highly publicized affair with Tom Sandoval at length.

Leviss and Sandoval carried on a secret romance for at least seven months before his long-term girlfriend at the time, Ariana Madix, found out about it in early March.

In a recent episode of the “Bravo Tea with Jared B” podcast, the namesake host called out Leviss, 28, for telling Frankel that she wouldn’t have pursued Sandoval, 41, if she felt there was longevity to his relationship with Madix, 38.

“This is a weird thing to admit because she’s saying she knew this wasn’t a real relationship or a relationship that had legs, so that’s why she decided to participate in this affair,” Jared told his listeners, pointing out that it made the former beauty pageant queen look “mad crazy.”

“Whether real or not, formerly, they were in a relationship despite the circumstances,” he went on.

“If you wanted to be with Tom Sandoval so bad, you should’ve let him know that this tryst, this situation going on between you and him, goes no further until you know officially that they have broken up.”

Though Leviss agreed with the sentiment, she still tried to explain her actions by casting blame on the Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras frontman.

“💯 you’re not wrong! I should have had more self respect than that and should have respected the relationship that Ariana had with Tom No excuses,” she commented beneath a snippet of the episode in question.

“However, looking back, I see I had low self-worth and Tom kept telling me he was actively breaking up with her ‘amicably’ for her ‘mental health,’ which I can now see was magical thinking,” she continued.

“He had a million and one reasons why they hadn’t broken up yet and it was easier to stay in that fantasy then [sic] to face the fact that the social anxiety and isolation was not worth it.”

Concluding her message, Leviss once again admitted that Jared was “100% right” in his assessment of the situation.

She signed off, “It was MY responsibility to remove myself from that situation… now I know better ♥️.”
