For those out of the loop on Sister Wives, the driving force of drama this season has been Kody Brown’s divide from his third wife, Christine Brown. Christine understandably decided she was done with Kody a while ago, but Kody can’t accept that.
He’s suggested the two undertake some kind of couples counseling. Christine on the other hand thinks therapy is a good idea for Kody alone, but she assured herself and everyone else that she would not go back to him.
Kody’s fourth wife, Robyn Brown, also suggested therapy would be good for Kody, but she claimed she didn’t see what was causing the rift between him and Christine in the first place. Despite it all, on Sunday’s most recent episode, Christine said clearly what she wanted.
Christine is thinking of her kids
Christine hoped she and Kody would “eventually be able to just be friends.” She explained to him, “It’s more like how do we move forward and be able to be in each other’s company and enjoy each other’s company. But I’d rather just come from a sincere place of just being friends, I don’t know if that’s naive.” Kody said he didn’t know either.
It’s understandable why Christine would want to remain friends with Kody. The two have kids together after all, so it would be ideal to remain amicable. But it would seem there’s little chance of Kody keeping things amicable. He already expressed his frustration at the situation with Christine.
And there’s no way Christine would return to him romantically. Just as she said, “Even when it didn’t matter to him, I would have done anything he needed me to do but I’m done. I’m done. I’m not going to do a thing for him anymore.” And Kody seemed to feel similarly, expressing he was also “done” if he couldn’t get what he hoped for.
Sister Wives continues on Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
TELL US – DO YOU THINK THERE’S ANY HOPE THE TWO COULD BE FRIENDS? WHAT’S YOUR TAKE ON THEIR RIFT?
And Christine almost certainly doesn’t care.
Kody is in a losing battle.
He’d rather hate Christine instead of moving on.
