Kathryn Dennis reclaims her ‘salacious’ pregnancies by dressing up as famed Barbie doll Midge

Reality TV

“Southern Charm” alum Kathryn Dennis reclaimed her “salacious” pregnancies by attending a Barbie-themed party dressed as Midge, Barbie’s pregnant redheaded friend with freckles.

Sporting her signature red locks, a white minidress and a crown, the single mom held her head high as she co-hosted the sold-out event at The Refinery Charleston in South Carolina on Saturday.

“I feel like everyone is doing the typical blond Barbie, which is why I chose Midge — you know, the salacious pregnant girl with red hair — because she’s low-key the star,” Dennis, 31, told Page Six exclusively.

“They’ve been doing us wrong for many years, and now it’s time to stand up for Midge.”

The former Bravolebrity — who shares daughter Kensington “Kensie,” 9, and son St. Julien “Saint,” 7, with ex-boyfriend Thomas Ravenel — said getting ready for the big bash made her “feel like a kid again.”

“Especially now that I’m in my 30s, this is such an amazing and nostalgic time for me to experience these things,” she shared.

“With the last decade, there were so many wins and losses and hard things and good things. It’s nice to be able to go back to your roots and celebrate that with everyone else who can relate.”

Dennis’ whirlwind romance with the much-older former politician, 60, was the talk of their traditional town during the early seasons of the show.

The ante was upped after she got unexpectedly pregnant at the age of 22 and went on to welcome Saint less than two years after Kensie was born.

However, Dennis feels that “we’ve evolved” since then to make the world a “more inclusive place,” and she’s grateful that pop culture has followed suit.

“I feel like Barbie is returning at the perfect season of my life, as I’m reminded of how I felt as a child, and that has helped me to make sense of my 20s and ultimately who I am now that I’m in my 30s,” she said.

“Being the fair-skinned, freckled redhead who grew up wanting to be the tan blond girl in school, I finally realized that we are all equal.”

As for her historically contentious relationship with Ravenel, Dennis said the two are “doing what works” for them and that “it’s going well.”

“My kids are happy, and I’m confident in myself as a mom,” she told us. “I’m just gonna keep pushing forward and setting the best example I can for my kids and inspiring them as they slowly learn more and more about me.”

Dennis announced her departure from “Southern Charm” in January after almost a decade on the reality show.

“It hasn’t always been easy, but I’m so lucky to have had reality cameras there, capturing so many moments that I’ll never forget (and a few, even, that I’d like to),” she told us at the time.

We asked the former Bravolebrity how she feels about it all now that some time has passed.

“I feel like when you have a good moral compass, when you’re a good person, no matter what you go through, if you just continue to be a good person and don’t stoop to their level, you’ll come out on the other end,” she shared.

“It may not look like their end, but you’re gonna come out on top — happier and more successful.”

Despite her conflicting feelings about reality TV, Dennis marveled at “the magic” of being able to “touch other women out there, especially our generation.”

She revealed that her possible future endeavors include creating a self-tanner, her own scent and a line of eyelashes, though her desire to “represent all the underdogs” remains unwavering.

“Keep going no matter what people say,” she encouraged her fans.
