Even after deciding against Wolf, Kylie Jenner’s son Aire’s name still has an animal association.
The “Kardashians” star revealed in Thursday’s episode of the Hulu show that the 1-year-old’s name means “Lion of God” in Hebrew.
“I just always wanted a name for him that had meaning,” Jenner, 25, told her best friend Anastasia “Stassie” Karanikolaou. “And I like [that] it’s a Hebrew name.”
When the reality star gave birth to her and Travis Scott’s baby boy in February 2022, she named the infant Wolf — but immediately regretted the decision.
“That [second] night, I cried in the shower, and I was like, ‘That’s not his name. What did I just do? Wolf?’” she recalled. “It wasn’t even on the list.”
The makeup mogul blamed “raging” postpartum hormones, adding, “That took me out. It was like, ‘I’m too emotional. He’s so special to me. There’s not a name good enough for him.’”
While Jenner told her fans Wolf’s original name after his arrival, she “never … ever” called him by that moniker.
“FYI OUR SONS NAME ISN’T WOLF ANYMORE,” she wrote via Instagram Stories last year. “WE JUST REALLY DIDN’T FEEL LIKE IT WAS HIM.”

Despite this announcement, the Kylie Cosmetics creator waited until January to share her son’s new name, as well as photos of the little one’s face.
Jenner and Scott, 32, filed legal documents requesting the swap in March 2022, and the toddler’s moniker was officially changed that June.
The duo, who have been dating on and off since 2017, are currently not together as they co-parent Aire and his 5-year-old sister, Stormi.
Since news of their split broke in January, Jenner has been romantically linked to actor Timothée Chalamet.
Although the Hulu personality has not addressed her love life on this season of her family’s show, she did reveal Thursday that she got a boob job at age 19 and would be “heartbroken” if her daughter followed her plastic surgery footsteps.
