Neil Young has announced a show at the Roxy, the iconic Los Angeles club, on September 20. That night will mark 50 years to the day that the venue opened; Young performed its inaugural concert in 1973. Goldenvoice is set to announce more celebration concerts at the venue soon.

Interested in knowing what that inaugural show at the Roxy was like? Neil Young’s extensive archive effort includes the 2018 release Roxy: Tonight’s the Night. Young performed the majority of what would comprise his 1975 album Tonight’s the Night; he also the On the Beach classic “Walk On.” The tracklist also includes off the cuff banter titled “Perry Como Rap” and “David Geffen Rap.”

Young recently announced that his lost 1977 album Chrome Dreams will finally be released this year. He’s currently on a tour where he’s focusing on songs he hasn’t performed live quite as often.
