A24 has released the first teaser trailer for Sofia Coppola’s new movie about Priscilla Presley. The film, called simply Priscilla, is due out in October and stars Cailee Spaeny as Priscilla Presley (née Beaulieu) and Jacob Elordi as Elvis Presley. Watch the teaser below. Scroll down for the film’s poster.

Priscilla is based on Priscilla Presley’s 1985 memoir, Elvis and Me. The movie “tells the unseen side of a great American myth in Elvis and Priscilla’s long courtship and turbulent marriage,” according to the synopsis. Phoenix—the band led by Sofia Coppola’s husband, Thomas Mars—scored Priscilla.

Priscilla is the first feature film written and directed by Sofia Coppola since 2020’s On the Rocks—a movie also scored by Phoenix. The new movie follows last year’s Baz Luhrmann movie about Elvis Presley.
