Tom Sandoval defends T-shirt comment, says he ‘never body-shamed’ Ariana Madix

Reality TV

Tom Sandoval is doubling down on the T-shirt comment he made toward his ex Ariana Madix during the “Vanderpump Rules” Season 10 reunion.

“I’ve never body-shamed Ariana,” the bar owner told TMZ Wednesday. “I don’t know if that was taken out of context. I think people added their own context to it.”

While Sandoval said his remark had “nothing to do with her body,” he did admit that it had something to do with Madix’s alleged lack of enthusiasm.

“If somebody, like, wanted to have sex with me and I, like, unzipped my zipper and said like, ‘Oh, hurry up. I gotta meet somebody for lunch,’” Sandoval said.

“It was more about the unenthusiasm.”

During part three of the highly anticipated “Vandeprump Rules” reunion, which aired last week, Sandoval, 40, expressed his disdain for having sex with Madix, 37, toward the end of their nearly 10-year relationship.

At one point during the final reunion episode, the TomTom co-owner was asked whether he had “slept with anyone else” since the beginning of his affair with co-star Raquel Leviss, 28, last summer.

After Madix mentioned that her ex continued to sleep with her while he secretly hooked up with the former beauty queen, he sarcastically replied, “Yeah, [Madix] kept her T-shirt on. It was really hot.”

The morning the show aired, Andy Cohen warned that “every woman in America” was going to be “upset” by Sandoval’s remark.

“It was an aside [remark] that he said, and when he said it, everyone in the room was like …” the executive producer, 55, teased.

“It’s gonna cut to the core for a lot of women,” Cohen added. “It’s just something that a straight guy — the category is, ‘Things straight guys should never say about women.’”

Several stars also chimed in on the Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras frontman’s T-shirt comment, including “Real Housewives of New York” alum Bethenny Frankel.

Amy Schumer defended having T-shirt sex during a recent appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” sharing that she “usually [has] sex with a T-shirt on.”

The “Trainwreck” star, 42, quipped that “every woman’s vagina just snapped shut” when Sandoval made the statement.
