‘Vampire Survivors’ Receives New Goodies Today With 1.5 Patch [Trailer]

Horror

Vampire Survivors fans got a treat yesterday during the PC Gaming Show, with developer Poncle announcing that the game would be getting a free 1.5 patch. The update, which is expected to go live today, will include a new map, a new character variation, and a new item pickup.

The 1.5 patch introduces the new “Astral Stair” map to Vampire Survivors that features “seemingly endless corridors, flying paintings, and a gameshow-like spinning wheel that triggers random events.” In fact, the spinning wheel won’t be limited to the new map, as it can be activated on any map with the new “Trisection” relic.

Meanwhile, the patch will add a new variant to the Yatta Cavallo character. Thanks to the new “Chaos Rosalia” relic, this bomb-throwing bear will evolve after level 80 to wield a new Cherry Bomb attack.

Lastly is the new pickup, GoldFinger. This pickup starts a special event that supercharges your attack, and makes you invincible for a set amount of time. The more enemies you defeat during GoldFinger time, the better your score and prize.

Vampire Survivors is available on PC via Steam, Xbox One, and the Xbox Series. The hit roguelike is currently being adapted by Los Angeles-based Story Kitchen into a “premium, animated television series.”
