Beyoncé‘s summer-ready hairstyle is perfect for when she’s gotta fan herself off.
The “Heated” singer recently kicked off her Renaissance Tour, opening in Stockholm, Sweden, with an unbelievable futuristic set and showstopping looks that commanded the stage. And in true Queen Bey fashion, she needed her glam also took center stage at the May 10 show. In fact, she debuted a fresh hair color, dubbed “sun-washed blonde,” by her longtime stylist Rita Hazan.
“I love her when she is blonde on stage,” the celebrity colorist told Vogue in an interview published May 11. “It’s sexy, it looks amazing, and when she gives that infamous Beyoncé flip of the hair, I wanted to make sure the colors come through—and they do, beautifully.”
Another reason for the Grammy winner’s style change? Rita wanted to make sure the superstar was the main attraction.
“Because all of the dancers had platinum hair,” the beauty expert noted, “I really wanted her to stand out.”
