Watch Clairo Cover Vashti Bunyan’s “Winter Is Blue”

The original song appears on Bunyan’s 1970 album Just Another Diamond Day

Clairo has shared a cover of the Vashti Bunyan ballad “Winter Is Blue.” The original track appears on Bunyan’s beloved 1970 album Just Another Diamond Day. Clairo released a pared-down video in which she sings and accompanies herself on acoustic guitar. Check it out below.

In the coming months, Bunyan’s recent memoir Wayward, Just Another Life to Live will be revised and issued in paperback, following the hardback edition that was made available in the U.S. earlier this year.

Earlier this month, Clairo released a one-off single called “For Now.” All proceeds from the track went toward For the Gworls and Everytown for Gun Safety. The former organization assists Black transgender people with rent, gender-affirming surgeries, and other necessities, while Everytown for Gun Safety is organization working to prevent gun violence through advocacy.
