Kaitlyn Bristowe believes her ex Shawn Booth used her for clout “until his gym opened.”
The former “Bachelorette” — who got engaged to Booth on Season 11 of the reality series in 2015 — shared her thoughts on the matter during a recent appearance on fiancé Jason Tartick’s podcast, “Trading Secrets.”
“It was, like, getting down to the end where we both just didn’t see it going anywhere,” she said.
“It felt like he was hanging on until his gym opened. And that’s where I felt used professionally.”
Booth did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Elsewhere, Bristowe, 37, suggested that Booth, 35, struggled with the attention she received from leading “The Bachelorette.”
“This is all just from my point of view and from how I felt and things that I saw,” she said.
“It doesn’t mean they’re right or wrong, but would you or would you not agree that when couples come off the show — whether it was a ‘Bachelor’ and the woman who picked or ‘Bachelorette and the guy she picked that’ — that is a really hard foundation to start on and a power struggle?”
The pair eventually called it quits in 2018, the same year Booth — a personal trainer and fitness professional — opened a gym in Nashville.
One year later, Bristowe moved on with fellow Bachelor Nation star Tartick, 34, and eventually accepted a proposal from him in May 2021.

Booth, for his part, discussed his split from Bristowe — and her relationship with Tartick — in a November 2021 “Austin AF” podcast interview.
“I guess it wasn’t [true love] because we’d still be together if it was,” he said, also calling Bristowe’s decision to pursue Tartick “disrespectful.”
Elaborating on the unique “Bachelorette” dating process, Booth continued, “Of course, you’re thinking it’s love.
“But you’re put in a situation where you’re completely secluded from the world. You can’t talk to your friends, you can’t talk to your family. You can’t watch TV. You don’t have the internet.”
