Jackie Goldschneider shut down a viral tweet claiming that her husband, Evan Goldschneider, dated her estranged sister before her.
“While that sounds like a great story, it is sadly not true,” the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star said in a video posted to her Instagram Story on Saturday.
“If it were true, you would’ve known about it already because I’m completely open about my life, and because I don’t really think it’s that embarrassing of a story.”
Jackie, 46, explained that her sister “has been happily married since 1998” and she “met Evan in 2003,” so neither of them knew her now-husband prior to that.
“If she dated him in the ’90s before I met him in 2003, I actually think that that would’ve been a pretty interesting story,” the Bravolebrity continued.
“I’m also sure that there would’ve been some pictures or something, so I couldn’t even deny it, but sadly, it is not true.”
Jackie added a “Sorry LOL” GIF at the bottom of her selfie video.
Jackie’s denial came after Twitter user @Krissyluvsballs wrote that the reality star should not “feel so entitled to judge” her co-stars’ relationships since “Jackie was Evan’s 2nd choice.”
“Evan was dating HER SISTER first. It’s starting to make sense #RHONJ,” the user claimed last Thursday.
Can’t get enough ‘Real Housewives?’
Jackie has been estranged from her sister for years, but she never fully explained what went down between the two.
“My relationship with my sister is … I don’t even want to call it strained because I’ve never even known her as a sister. It’s very strange to me to even refer to her as my sister ‘cause she’s just another woman who shares the same parents as me,” she said in a May 2021 episode of the “Daily Dish” podcast.
The “Weight of Beautiful” author emphasized that while she has “never, ever, ever had a relationship with” her sister, she hoped they would reconnect as adults, but it “just never happened.”
Jackie shared that after joining “RHONJ,” her sister was initially “into it,” and they had a conversation in her driveway, but she ended up “not allowing it to be on the air.”
“I really hoped that would lead to something more, but it’s just a recurring pattern with us,” she concluded. “If we make up for five minutes, all of a sudden something will happen that really usually has nothing to do with me, that she’s angry at me again for something.”
Evan and Jackie met at a bar in 2003, got engaged about a year later and tied the knot in 2006.
They share two sets of twins: 15-year-olds Adin and Jonas and 12-year-olds Alexis and Hudson.
“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
