Raquel ‘served’ Scheana papers with ‘no legal meaning’ at ‘VPR’ reunion: attorney

Reality TV

Raquel Leviss had Andy Cohen “serve” Scheana Shay with papers that “have no legal meaning” at Thursday’s “Vanderpump Rules” reunion taping, an attorney for the latter reality star claims to Page Six.

“Rachel had Andy ‘serve’ Scheana with a document during the reunion, but the papers have no legal meaning,” says Naema Rahmani, notably using Leviss’ legal name instead of her stage name.

“It was a request to dismiss a complaint or a civil lawsuit, but Rachel had requested a permanent restraining order, which is something completely different.”

The president of West Coast Lawyers continues, “There is no way for Rachel to ‘drop’ the temporary restraining order before next week’s hearing. This is California law and even on the court’s website.”

Although Rahmani claims Leviss had Cohen “serve” Shay, a source tells Page Six that the host simply handed her a printed document that they planned to file.

Rahmani goes on to acknowledge that Leviss’ document “wasn’t filed with the court,” adding that there is “no file stamp in the top right corner” to render it official.

“This was just another public relations stunt by Rachel and her team,” the former federal prosecutor concludes.

“If Rachel really wanted to make this go away, she would come out and publicly say the ‘punch’ never happened and she is sorry for all the harm she caused Scheana, Ariana, and her other friends.”

Page Six has reached out to reps for Leviss and Bravo for comment.

Due to the temporary restraining order, Leviss and Shay did not tape the reunion together.

As indicated by seating charts released by Bravo on Thursday, Leviss, 28, bowed out halfway through the taping to make way for Shay, 37, to step on set — where she was presumably presented with the document in question.

On Thursday morning, Rahmani offered clarity about the logistics of Shay and Leviss’ participation.

“Scheana will be present at today’s filming in person. Scheana intends to follow the law, but she wants to be part of the reunion,” Shay’s attorney told Page Six.

“Scheana and ‘Vanderpump Rules’ will make sure that Scheana remains 100 yards away to comply with the restraining order.”

Rahmani added that there is “no real way” for the order to be dropped, so it will remain in effect until a court hearing scheduled for March 29.

“It will just lapse if Rachel doesn’t pursue it,” he explained. “And if Rachel does pursue it, Scheana intends to call witnesses and present evidence to disprove her false accusations.”

As previously reported, Leviss obtained a temporary restraining order against Shay earlier this month. The “Good as Gold” singer had allegedly assaulted the former pageant queen for having a months-long affair with castmate Tom Sandoval, who had been dating Ariana Madix for nearly a decade.

Through her attorney, Shay denied any wrongdoing.

“This entire case is a fabrication by a known liar and a cheat who has betrayed everyone close to her,” Rahmani told Page Six on March 9.

“Vanderpump Rules” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
