The unraveling of Randall Emmett’s image hit ex-fiancée Lala Kent hard. That is, if she really had no idea about his supposed lifestyle. Add to that a custody battle between the two exes over their daughter, Ocean Kent Emmett, and Lala’s anxiety level on the new season of Vanderpump Rules is understandable.
Pump Rules co-star Scheana Shay spoke of Lala’s reaction to the “devastating” allegations about Randall during an appearance on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast.
“She felt very safe and to then find out how unsafe she was with this person, it’s just — pardon my French – a mind f—k,” Scheana said, per Page Six.
Scheana confirmed that Lala had no idea about the claims made by Randall’s ex-wife Ambyr Childers in December 2022. Ambyr claimed in court documents that Randall was allegedly under investigation for “suspected child exploitation and pedophilia.”
Scheana said, “It has been devastating, just all of the things that we have learned. And it’s crazy because she didn’t really know. She was blindsided with all of this information,” she added.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the FBI reached out to three individuals who could have given insight into Randall’s activities.
But Randall called rumors of an investigation “disgusting and untrue.” Page Six reached out to the FBI for comment. The outlet was told, “In keeping with DOJ policy, the FBI can neither confirm nor deny the existence of investigations.”
Meanwhile, Randall’s legal issues with Ambyr have stabilized for now. The former couple share 50/50 custody of daughters London, who is 13 years old, and Rylee, who is 9 years old. The former couple “settled their differences” last month after Ambyr requested a restraining order and a custody amendment.

Months prior, the Los Angeles Times went after Randall with a piece on the many allegations against him. He was accused of running a casting couch as well as sending inappriopriate messages to unwilling recipients about sex and drugs.
Lala is also fighting to limit custody with Randall. She is hoping to get full custody of their 1-year-old daughter Ocean. Scheana spoke of the emotional distress her friend has been under as a result of the allegations.
“When she learned all of this information about him, I mean, absolutely heartbreaking. It’s not something anyone should ever be put through,” she said.
The Scheananigans podcast host hopes for the best possible outcome regarding Ocean. And it really is a question for the family courts in California.
“The amount of bad things this person has done and the fact that she has to split custody of her child still, it’s heartbreaking,” Scheana added. “I just pray for her that this all works out, that she gets full custody of her baby girl because that’s where Ocean belongs.”
Lala skirted around the allegations against Randall while filming VPR. During the Season 10 trailer, the Give Them Lala Beauty founder expressed her shock to Lisa Vanderpump.
“I wanna know why people are accusing [Randall] of the things they’re accusing him of,” Lala said. Her vague language is deliberate, perhaps as a means to protect Ocean in the future. She explained, “My situation is very delicate, so I’m gonna steer clear of it. Just know[ing] that there are some things that don’t need to be on television.”
