Madison McFerrin Announces New Album and Tour, Shares Video for New Song: Watch

“(Please Don’t) Leave Me Now” is the new single from the musician’s debut album, I Hope You Can Forgive Me

Madison McFerrin has announced her debut album. I Hope You Can Forgive Me is out May 12. The album features the new single “(Please Don’t) Leave Me Now,” which arrives with a new video directed by Kemp Baldwin. Watch it below.

McFerrin wrote her new song about a car accident she endured in 2021 with her partner. “Being able to walk away from a near-death experience without physical harm is one of the greatest blessings I’ve received in this life,” the musician said in a statement. “It reaffirmed my purpose as an artist. Writing ‘(Please Don’t) Leave Me Now’ became an incredibly therapeutic and cathartic experience. Being able to express that kind of fear while still creating a fun environment was key to making this song.”

McFerrin produced the majority of the album herself. It features contributions from her father, Bobby McFerrin, as well as the 2022 single “Stay Away (From Me).”
