The Lemon Twigs, the Long Island duo of brothers Brian and Michael D’Addario, have returned with a new song. “Any Time of Day” is the latest single from their upcoming fourth studio album, Everything Harmony, which arrives May 5 via Captured Tracks. “Any Time of Day” arrives with a music video directed by Ambar Navarro. Check it out below, and scroll down for the LP artwork, tracklist, and a slate of winter and spring tour dates.
“Any Time of Day” follows the band’s recent single “Corner of My Eye,” which also appears on Everything Harmony. “We were hired to write material and act in an interactive TV show about an imaginary ’70s brother band,” the Lemon Twigs said of their new track a press release. They continued:
Director Ambar Navarro added that the video for “Any Time of Day” was “heavily inspired by ’60s television live performances and focusing on the minimal set pieces, referencing the Carpenters, Tom Petty, and especially the Monkees’ TV Show and absurd/surreal comedy of that era.”
Everything Harmony follows the Lemon Twigs’ 2020 album, Songs for the General Public. The new record was inspired by Simon & Garfunkel, Arthur Russell, and Moondog. It was written, recorded, produced, and engineered entirely by the Lemon Twigs at studios in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and San Francisco.
