There’s no better time than the present to shade your former Vanderpump Rules costars for slights of the past. Specifically, the post-Covid nuptials of Beau Clark and Stassi Schroeder last year. It’s inexplicable to an avid traveler such as myself how a wedding in Rome could be missed. But Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright managed it.
Despite their reasons and public apology, the Jax And Brittany Take Kentucky alums have not been forgiven. According to Us Weekly, Beau may have recently taken a swipe at the couple, who claimed they couldn’t make the wedding because of issues with their son Cruz Cauchi’s passport.
“The last of Hartford’s documents for the Italian government are finished and sent in. So hopefully we’ll get her citizenship papers and passport in a couple months,” Beau wrote on his Instagram Stories. He was referencing obtaining documents for his two-year-old daughter. “But let’s be real. Romans take three hour lunch breaks. So we might see it next year!”
Beau took a swipe at Jax and Brittany’s claim that they did not get Cruz’s passport in time for the wedding. A laughing emoji accompanied the following text. Beau added, ”It’s not like in the U.S. where getting a kids passport only takes a month or two.”
In the weeks leading up to the May 2022 event, the couple already believed that Jax and Brittany would be no-shows. Stassi explained that they were getting conflicting information at the time.

“To our faces, they are telling us that they are coming, but behind our back, the dude is texting Beau’s best friend that they’re not,” Stassi said on her podcast. “Good friends don’t do that. They don’t talk s—t about your wedding behind your back or pretend that they’re coming and give a list of reasons why they’re not coming to other people. Friends don’t do that to each other,” she said.
Brittany gave her side of the story on Betches Moms podcast. She said, “We had actual reasons why we couldn’t go that were not talked about. Like Cruz’s passport didn’t come in, my mom had a death in the family and had to go home. I mean, there was actual things that happened right before the wedding that we actually couldn’t make it to the wedding for those reasons,” she explained.
Brittany continued, “But I know, like, having to wait to the last minute and not being able to be there for someone who I really do think of as one of my best friends, like, I feel terrible about and I’m truly sorry. And I hope that one day, we’ll be able to talk about this and figure it all out. Because I do want our kids to grow up together,” the Pump Rules alum added.
Brittany claimed that she and Jax were, “literally trying to be there, up until the very last minute.”
When this explanation was met with silence from Beau and Stassi, Brittany again went public. In July 2022, Brittany appeared on Scheana Shay’s podcast, Scheananigans. “I should have planned better on like Cruz’s passport and stuff, but everything was so backed up. It was poor planning on my part, but it was so hard to get that passport,” Brittany admitted.
The timing of Cruz’s passport submission was suspect. Jax posted on social media the same month that his son had received his passport. Had it been expedited before the wedding in May as the couple claimed, they would have likely received it well before July.
