Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval are the real deal.
Madix shut down “Vanderpump Rules” fans’ unfounded theories that she and her longtime boyfriend are both secretly gay.
“I think people see my relationship with Tom … as nontraditional in a lot of ways, and they think there’s got to be more to it, you know? [Like] I’m in the closet or Tom’s in the closet,” she told Page Six exclusively at the Bravo reality show’s Season 10 premiere party Tuesday.
Madix, 37, emphasized that she and Sandoval, 39, are “open about” the different aspects of their love life on TV, so “there’s really no other layers” to divulge — despite what viewers may think.
Madix brought up the topic while discussing Scheana Shay’s comment in the “Pump Rules” trailer that Katie Maloney had told her Madix and Sandoval are in an “open relationship.” Shortly after the teaser dropped last month, Madix took to Twitter to clear the air.
“we dont have an open relationship,” she clarified at the time. “i’m really not that cool. thought that was obvious. #pumprules.”
When a fan asked Madix whether she was “no longer bi,” the Bravolebrity, who came out in 2020, responded, “bisexual ≠ polyamorous.”
The trailer also teased that both Sandoval and his best friend, Tom Schwartz, struggle with their personal lives while trying to open their own bar, Schwartz & Sandy’s, but Madix assured us that her beau is feeling less pressure these days now that doors have opened.
“It is tough for me when we’re both so busy, but at the same time, it’s like, I want the restaurant to be a success,” she explained. “It’s definitely way better now because I can just go to the restaurant and really enjoy myself, and I love it there.”
Viewers have watched Madix and Sandoval’s love story blossom since they began dating in 2014 after his tumultuous relationship with “Pump Rules” alum Kristen Doute ended.
Doute, now 39, had accused Sandoval of hooking up with Madix while they were still dating, which the now-couple vehemently denied.
Doute then attempted to break up her ex and his new girlfriend after she heard a rumor that Sandoval had cheated on Madix with a “Miami girl.” The former reality star infamously flew in the woman and ambushed Sandoval during his bartending shift at SUR, but he claimed they never met and continued denying the rumors for years.
Season 10 of “Vanderpump Rules” premieres Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
