James Kennedy’s new girlfriend, Ally Lewber, was in for a rude awakening when she tuned in to watch the return of “Vanderpump Rules.”
During Wednesday night’s episode, Kennedy’s ex Lala Kent revealed that she and the DJ actually “hooked up” while she was dating then-boyfriend Randall Emmett and Kennedy was with then-girlfriend Raquel Leviss.
And the news came as a “shock” to Lewber.
“I was mad at him for a minute, for sure, yeah,” the 27-year-old exclusively told Page Six at the Season 10 premiere party. “I think I felt for Raquel a lot in that moment — just knowing [they] were about to get married, and she was never gonna know this.”
“That’s never fun to find out about a partner,” Lewber added, noting that she and Kennedy, 31, “talked it through” after he told her Kent had brought it up on camera.
When we asked Kennedy whether he was angry at Kent for divulging their secret, he replied, “Honestly, no, I haven’t got time to be mad at Lala about something that happened six years ago. We’ve already worked on our friendship so much since then.”
He added that he was “not proud” of his actions and insisted they weren’t reflective of “the man that [he] is today.”
During the shocking scene in question, a giggling Kent, 32, said to Katie Maloney, “James and I, when we were both very new in our relationships, definitely hooked up.”
Kennedy, who was present for the conversation, begged, “You’re making me nervous. My heart is beating. Like, please don’t. Please don’t.”
But Kent, who is now sober, had no problem elaborating on the drunken hookup, saying it happened in Chicago and that “handstands” were involved.
Kennedy smiled and nodded his head in agreement; however, he drew the line at admitting he had any additional “fun” behind Leviss’ back.
A montage of his alleged former sidepieces — GG, Ellie and Hope — then flashed across the screen.
Elsewhere, Leviss, 28, was seen telling Scheana Shay that she hopes Lewber “doesn’t suffer from low self-esteem” like she did when she dated Kennedy. “I mean, some of the stuff that I tolerated — I look back, and I’m like, ‘What the f–k was I thinking?’”
When we asked Kent during the premiere party about the bomb she had dropped while filming, she explained, “This season, going into it, I just felt like I was sitting in a pile of s–t. And I just wanted all of my skeletons out. I wanted to start making amends to people who I’ve affected.”
She teased that viewers will get to see “a lot of ups and downs” between her and Leviss — whom she famously branded a “Bambi-eyed bitch” during a heated blowout — as the season progresses.
“And maybe I shouldn’t have told [Leviss about the hookup] because she was upset about it, but hindsight’s 20/20,” Kent said.
“I felt in the moment that I was doing something that I needed to do for both of us because we were in a great place, and I wanted to move forward with her. I just couldn’t move forward with her knowing that I had been someone who I’m not proud of.”
Asked what the pair’s relationship is like these days, Kent admitted she and Leviss are “not great.”
“That’s OK, though,” she noted. “That’s to be expected with this group.”
Kent ended up dumping Emmett, her fiancé at the time, in October 2021 after the 51-year-old movie producer’s alleged “double life” was revealed.
Leviss called off her engagement to Kennedy two months later.
