Matthew McConaughey Voices Elvis Presley in New Netflix Cartoon Agent Elvis

The series follows the star on fictionalized adventures as a secret agent

Matthew McConaughey is voicing Elvis Presley in Agent Elvis, a new animated series that’s coming to Netflix. The program follows the late superstar through fictitious adventures as a secret agent, and it hits the platform in March. Priscilla Presley executive produced the series, and Archer’s Mike Arnold is its head writer and showrunner. Find a teaser trailer for Agent Elvis below.

Agent Elvis is the second tribute to Presley in less than a year, following last summer’s blockbuster Elvis by Baz Luhrmann. The film picked up Academy Award nominations for Best Picture, Best Production Design, Best Cinematography, and more, with star Austin Butler nominated for Best Actor for his portrayal of Presley. Butler took home the Best Actor trophy at the Golden Globes in January, where Elvis earned additional nominations for Best Motion Picture – Drama and Best Director.

There’s yet another Presley-related project in the works from Sofia Coppola, who’s slated to write and direct a forthcoming screen adaptation of Elvis and Me, the 1985 memoir by Priscilla Presley. Her only daughter with Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie Presley, died unexpectedly at age 54 in January.
