Weyes Blood: And in the Darkness, Hearts Aglow [Sub Pop]
Natalie Mehring’s latest album as Weyes Blood is the second part in a trilogy that began with her fourth album, the elaborately orchestrated alarm call of Titanic Rising. “Everything that was an observation on Titanic Rising had kind of come true,” she told Pitchfork. “I feel like this album sheds light on our disillusionment, and that’s the first step in trying to ride that wave.” Read that feature, “Weyes Blood on What It Means to Be Out of Time,” and check out the Pitchfork Review podcast to hear interviewer Sam Sodomsky discuss the record.

Roddy Ricch: Feed tha Streets III [Atlantic]
Feed tha Streets III arrives four years after the second installment of Roddy Ricch’s mixtape series, Feed tha Streets II. The new project was led by the singles “Stop Breathing,” “Aston Martin Truck,” and “Twin” (featuring Lil Durk). Feed tha Streets III follows Ricch’s sophomore studio album, Live Life Fast, and a more recent EP called The Big 3.

Fousheé: Softcore [RCA]
Last year, New Jersey singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Fousheé released her debut project, Time Machine. Now, she’s sharing the 12-song Softcore, which is being called her debut album. The LP features a collaboration with Lil Uzi Vert titled “Spend the Money.”

Pulse Emitter: Dusk [Hausu Mountain]
The ambient composer Daryl Groetsch has made more than 80 albums in just under 20 years, including a couple for his current label home, Hausu Mountain. His second solo LP for the venerable label, Dusk mixes occasional grid-based rhythms with synth shimmers and deceptively complex harmonies, incorporating his loves of new age, drone, kosmische, and progressive electronic music.

$ilkmoney: I Don’t Give a Fuck About This Rap Shit, Imma Just Drop Until I Don’t Feel Like It Anymore [DB$B]
When the Virginia collective Divine Council separated in 2016, $ilkmoney started releasing solo records that have slowly amassed a cult following. Sumptuously produced by Kahlil Blu, his vocally abrasive, chaotically titled latest follows 2020’s overlooked Attack of the Future Shocked, Flesh Covered, Meatbags of the 85. $ilkmoney’s new release features reliably literal song titles like “I Ate 14gs of Mushrooms and Bwoy Oh Bwoy,” “A Visit from the Giant Portal Wizard Snake,” and “Jodi Don’t Love Me No Mo :-(.”

Drain Gang rapper Thaiboy Digital has teased his new album, Back 2 Life, for more than a year. The follow-up to 2019’s Legendary Member includes collaborations with Yung Lean and Bladee, as well as production from Loesoe, Rok, Mechatok, and others.

They joined forces with the International Contemporary Ensemble for Isomonstrosity. The new album hsa contributions from Danny Brown, Kacy Hill, Empress Of, Danny L Harle, the National’s Bryce Dessner, and others.
