“Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Heather Gay is rooting for Whitney Rose and Lisa Barlow’s new friendship — even if she finds it rather odd.
“Yeah, it’s very strange to me,” Gay, 40, tells Page Six exclusively while promoting Season 3 of the Bravo hit.
“I want resolve for everyone, so I’m happy that everyone’s getting along and figuring out their way,” she adds. “But obviously, yeah, I’ve been living it. This is new to me.”
Rose, 36, and Barlow, 47, notably butted heads throughout the first two “RHOSLC” installments.
But shifting dynamics among the cast — including Barlow’s fallout with Meredith Marks, Marks’ unexpected reconciliation Jen Shah and fissures in Rose’s relationship with Gay — made room for Rose and Barlow to upgrade from frenemies to BFFs.
When asked if she thinks the two have simply formed an alliance, Gay — who is also a cousin of Rose — replies, “I would think that we’re way past alliances at this point. This is, like, friendship. This isn’t ‘Survivor.’”
Reflecting on her on-camera discord with Rose, Gay insists she still has “love” for the Wild Rose Beauty CEO.
“It appears like there’s been a major implosion. I hope that’s not the case. I mean, I love Whitney. She is my cousin. She’s ‘Bad Wheather,’” the Beauty Lab + Laser founder says, referencing the nickname Barlow gave the duo during the dramatic Season 1 reunion.
“I don’t know how this season’s going to play out and I’m nervous about it. I love Whitney and I’m attached to ‘Bad Wheather.’”
In a preview for the remainder of “RHOSLC” Season 3, Rose tells Gay, “You are saying our friendship is bulls–t. That hurts me, Heather!”
In another scene, an irate Gay tells Rose, “F–k you for calling me a liar! … You lost me, bitch. You lost me.”
After production for “Salt Lake City” wrapped this year, Gay and Rose jetted off to Thailand to film Season 3 of Peacock’s “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” spinoff. Candiace Dillard, Gizelle Bryant (“Potomac”), Marysol Patton, Alexia Echevarria (“Miami”), Leah McScweeney (“New York City”) and Porsha Williams (“Atlanta”) also participated.
Away from the ice-capped mountains of Utah, Gay seemingly assured Rose that she has no intention of deserting their friendship for good.
“If there’s anything you know about me, I’m a Stage 5 clinger,” she tells Page Six. “I don’t give up on friendships, ever. Even when they’re trying to wrench themselves from me.”
“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
