Two thirds of the Atlanta rap trio Migos are teaming up for a new album. Earlier today, Quavo and Takeoff revealed the title and release date of their forthcoming LP. It’s called Only Built for Infinity Links, and it arrives October 7 via Quality Control/Motown. Check out the cover art below.
While Quavo and Takeoff have not yet revealed a tracklist, the pair issued a string of singles earlier this year, starting with lead single “Hotel Lobby.” They followed that cut with the Birdman-featuring “Big Stunna” as well as “Us Vs. Them,” with Gucci Mane. The title of their joint record is a reference to Raekwon’s 1995 solo work Only Built 4 Cuban Linx.
Migos’ most recent full-length Culture III arrived last year. The album arrived after each member released their own solo records. Quavo and Takeoff issued theirs in 2018 (Quavo Huncho and The Last Rocket, respectfully), with Offset’s Father of 4 landing the following year.
Offset recently shared the solo singles “Code” with Moneybagg Yo and “5 4 3 2 1,” the latter of which was produced by Baby Keem. Last month, Offset filed a lawsuit against Quality Control—Migos’ longtime label-home—over ownership of his solo recordings. The complaint alleges that Quality Control is falsely claiming ownership over the rapper’s solo works, despite the fact that he bought back rights to them in 2021.
