‘Love Island USA’ star Sydney Paight talks self-tanning ‘journey’ in the villa

Reality TV

“Love Island USA” star Sydney Paight’s commitment to boyfriend Isaiah Campbell is only rivaled by her devotion to maintaining a faux glow.

In an exclusive interview with Page Six Style, the reality star breaks down the self-tanning routine she employed during her six-week tenure on the Peacock dating show.

“I actually went on a tanning journey in the villa,” says Paight, explaining that it is “hard” for a natural redhead to maintain a bronzed complexion.

The Los Angeles resident relied on Isle of Paradise products during her stay at the Santa Barbara, Calif., villa.

“Thankfully, the self-tanner that I use has a good wear time, like six days. And then it’s, like, OK, you need to scrub it,” she explains. “I just put self-tanner on. And then I would touch it up whenever we had [a day off from filming].”

Of all the Isle of Paradise products she packed, Paight tells Page Six Style her “favorite” was the Disco Tan Instant Wash-Off Body Bronzer ($24).

“It comes off in the shower, too! So I love that,” she raves, adding that its immediate results worked well with her skin-baring villa wardrobe.

“If you’re putting on a nighttime outfit, it makes your legs look really bronzed.”

Paight admits her “biggest” fear going into “Love Island USA” wasn’t failing to meet a man, but rather her tan falling flat.

“And I was in there from day one!” she says. “I was like, ‘Damn, it’s going to be hard.’ But I did it!”

Paight — who placed second with Campbell in the “Love Island USA” Season 4 finale — says the rest of her getting-ready rituals were relatively low maintenance.

“I actually got ready really quick. I would say in a solid hour, I could be ready,” she says, acknowledging that some of her female castmates would take “hours and hours” before emerging from the group dressing room.

“It’s because they would all talk the whole time they were getting ready,” Paight elaborates. “I would literally just sit myself in a corner and just do it. They’d be like, ‘You’re done?’ I’d be like, ‘Yeah. Don’t talk!’”

The “Love Island USA” Season 4 reunion is available to stream Thursday, Sept. 1, at 9 p.m. ET on Peacock.
