Tonight (August 19), the finale of the first season of Nathan Fielder’s The Rehearsal airs on HBO. To mark the occasion, the network has announced that the show has been picked up for a second season.“Nathan has sparked such a lively conversation with The Rehearsal,” Amy Gravitt, the executive vice president of HBO programming, said in a press release. “We have no idea where Season 2 will take us, and that is the delight of this boundary pushing show from a truly singular talent.”

In The Rehearsal, Fielder, with the assistance of a construction crew and various actors, helps people “rehearse” moments in their lives. The program is part of Fielder’s overall deal with HBO.
