Jill Zarin is closing the door on her decades-long friendship with Dorinda Medley.
“I think she is terrific and I loved her. I kept wanting to try to rekindle that friendship, but I’m done. I’m not going to try anymore,” Zarin, 58, said on Access Hollywood’s “Housewives Nightcap” on Thursday.
The “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Ex-Wives Club” star explained that even though she and Medley, 57, left Bluestone Manor on “good terms,” she can’t have someone in her life who “come[s] at me like that.”
“People who I love and adore I wouldn’t let talk to me like that, let alone someone like her. I just wouldn’t, and I said that, I said, ‘Don’t you effing talk to me like that’ very calm,” she added.
Zarin and Medley, who both starred on “The Real Housewives of New York City” on different seasons, added that there are underlying issues they need to address, but she won’t do so until Medley gets her drinking “resolved.”
“Quite honestly, we’ll never really address it until the whole drinking and all that thing has to get resolved,” Zarin said.
“There’s a lot of stuff there, but I’m not a doctor, I’m not a therapist, I’m not even a close enough friend to be able to really get to that with Dorinda, but someone needs to get there with her. I mean, I don’t want anything to happen to her, and I’m worried.”
When asked about the possibility of getting paired up again to star on “RHONY Legacy,” Zarin admitted she has no control over casting but insinuated Medley’s drinking would be a problem.
“I don’t even know what to say, because I can’t argue and fight with alcohol. I’m not talking to her, I’m talking to this brown liquor,” Zarin said.
The Bravolebrities’ tension reached its breaking point during an explosive argument after Medley called Zarin a “lapdog” and “thirsty” on a recent episode of the Peacock spin-off. The fight escalated to Medley screaming and Zarin sobbing.
“I’m so f–king losing it you know what honestly I have been such a good friend to her I have been holding back so much with Dorinda, because I’m giving her such a pass,” Zarin said at the time.
“The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Ex-Wives Club” is available to stream on Peacock.
