“Jersey Shore” star Angelina Pivarnick and her husband, Chris Larangeira, finalized their divorce in May, Page Six can confirm.
While their marriage may be officially over, the exes are still battling it out in court.
Larangeira, 42, filed documents on June 23 claiming that Pivarnick, 36, failed to follow through with an agreement that she would pay him $22,000, which is the sum of half of their wedding gifts, the US Sun reported Thursday.
Larangeira, a sanitation worker in New York City, also requested that Pivarnick pay for his attorney’s fees because of the differences in the “financial circumstances of the parties.”
Additionally, Larangeira wants $50 for each day Pivarnick does not pony up the $22,000.
Larangeira filed for divorce from the MTV personality on Jan. 20 — just weeks after she told Page Six exclusively that she was “fighting” to save their marriage.
“I said to myself, ‘I am not going to get divorced. I am going to try everything that I can in my power to save my marriage, no matter what it is,’” she told us at the time.
The former couple had a tumultuous relationship for years. They faced various challenges, including infidelity accusations on both sides, a sexless marriage and Larangeira’s decision to temporarily move out.
The final straw apparently came when Pivarnick admitted to hitting it off with her “All Star Shore” co-star Luis Caballero.
“I [left to film the show] on bad terms with [Chris],” she told co-star Deena Nicole Cortese in a recent episode of “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.”
“So this guy Luis, he was on the show obviously the whole time. He would talk to me — he was very sweet and nice to me, but I was very good, just blowing him off.
“He was making me laugh, and he was also giving me compliments. So the time went on, and he was like, ‘Can you sleep here?’ I slept in the bed with him,” Pivarnick confessed, insisting that they did not “hook up,” though Cortese, 35, did not believe her.
Pivarnick and Larangeira have known each other for more than a decade but only began dating in 2016. They tied the knot in November 2019.
