Teresa Giudice Says Her Wedding Won’t Be On Real Housewives Of New Jersey; Teases Standalone Special Or Series

Reality TV

If you were expecting to see Bravo’s wedding of the decade on Real Housewives of New Jersey, you’re out of luck. But that doesn’t mean you won’t see it at all (maybe)! Teresa Giudice and her fiance, Luis “Louie” Ruelas have been deep into the planning of their wedding. Which is scheduled to take place in Jersey on August 6th. Information we have courtesy of Ramona Singer.

But Tre is playing coy about whether or not fans are going to see it. She told Page Six, “Definitely not on [Real] Housewives of New Jersey.” So how about a standalone special or short-term series? Teresa teased, “I don’t know. We’ll see.”

Teresa previously said she wasn’t sure she would have a televised wedding. She shared back in May, “Luis, of course, [being on television] is not something he signed up for. He met Teresa Giudice and … does he want to be on TV?  No. But, if he dates me, does he have to be on TV? I mean, of course.” Maybe a nice big check changed that. And you know it will rake in the ratings.

Definitely-not-a-bridesmaid/fellow castmate/sister-in-law Melissa Gorga is optimistic the wedding will be filmed. Last month she mused, “I mean, I can’t imagine it not being filmed, let’s just say that.” Under normal circumstances, a sister-in-law would likely know but not for these two. After Tre’s decision to not make Melissa a bridesmaid, the two decided to quit pretending to be friendly. Teresa said, “It is what it is. I’m not her best friend, she’s not my best friend. We’re family. I love her. She’s my sister-in-law, and vice versa. And I’m sure she loves me because I’m her sister-in-law.” Teresa added, “But do we hang out like best friends? No, we don’t, and I’m okay with that.”

As for wedding planning, Teresa is all in. She stated, “I’m getting nervous. When you’re planning a big event, you want everything to go well, but I’m excited, of course. Can’t wait to go on our honeymoon [to] Europe.”

The two got engaged back in October of 2021 and controversy about Luis’ past followed. Season 12 of RHONJ centered around it. Regardless, the couple is still going strong and Teresa has Luis’ help with wedding planning. Teresa gushed back in May, “Luis is involved with me, and I love that. We’re doing it together, so it’s not just me. I remember my first wedding; I did it by myself. But [Luis is] involved, and I love that.”
