Jennifer Aydin Fractured Her Toe During Teresa Giudice’s Birthday Trip in Mexico

Reality TV

The toe must go on! There’s something about Real Housewives and their feet. How many times have we seen our gals in a boot or even a scooter after hurting their feet? I blame the heels. Now Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jennifer Aydin is the latest victim to succumb to hurting her foot. That’s one way to ruin a vacation.

As reported by Page Six, Jen fractured her tow while celebrating castmate Teresa Giudice’s 50th birthday in Mexico. The group included Tre’s co-stars, friends and family partying in Play del Carmen. Unfortunately for us, a source close to production said that camera were not there. But another source who was privy to Jen’s injury said she was “really pissed about getting hurt.”

Jen had plenty of support though, with those on the trip calling her “the best two-stepper I’ve ever seen for a consistent five hours” on their Instagram stories. Jen posted a video of her own, expressing her annoyance at the inconvenient injury. Said Jennifer, “I’m kinda disappointed it happened while on the trip. At least it was midway through and not at the beginning because it would’ve ruined it totally, and I did get to wear heels.”

Her injury happened the day before the party was set to fly back home on a private jet. Jennifer was hoping to wait and get medical treatment once she got home but was advised against it. She explained, “They said I need an X-ray. I wanted to wait ’til I get back home tomorrow ’cause that’s much easier, but they said that it’s not safe to get on a plane with that in case it’s fractured because it could cause a blood clot, and I’ve heard those cause strokes. So you know what? I was like, OK, maybe we will go to the hospital. And it’s 30 minutes away.”

She added in another video, “This is the best hotel. Rosewood Mayakoba. The attention to detail and the service is unmatched, ever, in my experience. It’s amazing. Like, they have a driver taking us.” Jen then boarded her own sprinter van to head to the medical facility. Along for the ride was Tre’s future sister-in-law, Dr. Veronica Ruelas.

Jennifer filmed her time at the hospital, including her chat with the doctor who treated her. The doctor let her know that “this kind of fracture heals itself” as long as she is careful. He also told her it would heal within a few weeks. Jen expressed relief that she didn’t need crutches. But she did leave with a boot, exclaiming, “Oh, it’s heavy! Just call me big foot!” She lated quipped that it was “a fashion statement, for sure.”

An eyewitness said that Jen got the VIP treatment after her injury, receiving “all sorts of get-well goodies” following her injury. Jen filmed another video gushing about the hotel and said, “Look at that. ‘Feel better soon,’ That’s from the hotel! Aren’t they a nice hotel?”
