Dorinda Medley Says She Is Ignoring “Hundreds Of Texts” From Vicki Gunvalson Amid Their Feud

Reality TV

Peacock’s Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Ex-Wives Club is almost here, and I am ready for the chaos! Real Housewives of New York alum Dorinda Medley didn’t get along with Vicki Gunvalson from the jump. Dorinda and the former Real Housewives of Orange County star clashed over the Covid-19 vaccine.

It also seems that Vicki might not have been a fan of Dorinda’s home in the Berkshires, where Season 2 of RHUGT filmed. When Dorinda found out that Vicki called her beloved Blue Stone Manor “old,” Dorinda went after Vicki.

“Like, you may not like my life, but I also don’t date people that pretend to have cancer, you know what I mean?” Dorinda remarked on her SiriusXM podcast, Make It Nice. Of course, Dorinda was referencing Vicki’s former boyfriend Brooks Ayers, who lied about having cancer and falsified medical records.

Then Dorinda discussed Vicki’s ex-fiancée, Steve Lodge. “I also don’t date men that then leave you for women that are half their age,” she said of Steve. “You wanna get mean, I’ll get mean.” Three months after his break-up with Vicki, Steve popped the question to 36-year-old Janice Carlson.

Dorinda also addressed Vicki insulting her home, which was featured in Architectural Digest in 2020. “You have to have a taste level to understand a home like Blue Stone Manor, and you have to understand a lifestyle,” she stated.

Vicki clapped back in an Instagram comment. Allabouttrh shared a screenshot. “She’s the nasty one. I never said anything bad about her home,” Vicki wrote. “I also said her house is in the middle of nowhere (truth) and it’s old (truth).”

Vicki then slammed Dorinda’s hosting ability and taste. “That’s a joke – my taste is definitely different than hers AND she was horrible to most people who stayed there,” Vicki said. “It was miserable.” Dorinda a bad hostess? Never! Vicki wasn’t even in the fish room.

Dorinda told Page Six that she is actively ignoring “hundreds of texts” from Vicki. “I have hundreds and hundreds of texts from her, but I don’t really respond,” Dorinda explained. “She not only wrote 100 texts, she left me a very long voicemail.”

The RHONY alum continued, “But I don’t do that. Listen, once I clap back, I go silent.” That tactic is clearly driving Vicki crazy.

In 2011, following the death of her husband, Richard Medley, Dorinda took responsibility for their second home. And some of Vicki’s texts mentioned how Dorinda obtained the residence. “[She told me to] knock it off, that my home was gifted to me. I don’t know if that’s really kind of a ‘gift’ or if that’s the way life unfortunately worked out for me,” Dorinda stated. “Believe me, I’d rather have Richard here without this ‘gift’ than having to get this house without him.”

Vicki mentioned on RHUGT that there was no place to “whoop it up” or a HomeGoods or Target to visit. “There’s always that East Coast vs. West Coast thing. And the East Coast is very different,” Dorinda commented. “[She’s] very West Coast, which is a more relaxed sort of HomeGoods lifestyle, very casual. She certainly didn’t like it up here,” Dorinda added.

Dorinda felt that there might have been a fight to be top Housewife–at least in one person’s mind. “I do think there was a little bit of that. I never really thought about it that way, but I do think there was a little bit of a better-than [attitude],” Dorinda said. “And I think when [Vicki] got here, she couldn’t play that role here.”

She added, “We all kind of had to muck in and be equals … But that seemed to be hard for her.”
