The Bachelorette Alum Becca Kufrin Denies Being “Desperate” For Proposing To Thomas Jacobs

Reality TV

Is it desperate to propose to your man? Well, Bachelor sweetheart Becca Kufrin says that couldn’t be farther from the truth!

A few weeks ago, Becca planned a photoshoot for her sparkling wine company, Bourdon. She invited her Bachelor In Paradise beau Thomas Jacobs to join in on the shoot and gave him the biggest surprise of his life, she proposed to him! The two originally met on BIP season 7, and sadly they broke up at the end of the show deciding they weren’t ready to move forward together. Yet, clearly, they were meant to be and got back together soon after the show wrapped.

“We’ve received so much love from people, but I’ve also seen comments where people are like, ‘She’s desperate,’” Becca said on her Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. “But why does it, as a female, make me desperate to want to [propose] to somebody? If Thomas in a week were to do the exact same thing, no one says he’s desperate. It doesn’t make sense to me. The logic’s not there.”

E! News reported that Becca shared,  “I knew that he would be so appreciative and supportive of it. He would never be offended if the female proposed to the man. So, it’s like, why should that matter who does it?”

Both Becca and Thomas have been posting the most positive remarks about their engagement, so it seems to me that he doesn’t care that he wasn’t the one to pop the question. It’s 2022 people, come on, let the women run the show if they want to!

Becca is a heavy hitter in Bachelor Nation. She was originally on Arie Luyendyk‘s season of the Bachelor and even got engaged to him at the end. After the show finished filming, the two broke up and he ended up getting with his runner-up, Lauren Burnham. She then went on the become the Bachelorette and got engaged to Garrett Yrigoyen. They stayed together for two years before calling it quits, and then she showed up on BIP where she met Thomas!

Thomas hails from Katie Thurston‘s season of The Bachelorette where he was quickly seen as a villain. He made the mistake of admitting he had thought about being the next Bachelor, and all the other men were fast to turn on him. When he went on BIP he wanted to set the record straight that he is in fact a good guy, and from the looks of it, Becca seems to think so!

Congratulations to the couple on their engagement!

TELL US- DO YOU THINK IT WAS DESPERATE FOR BECCA TO PROPOSE TO THOMAS? WOULD YOU EVER BE THE ONE TO PROPOSE TO A MAN? DO YOU THINK THE TWO WILL END UP GETTING MARRIED?
