‘RHODubai’ recap: Lesa claims Nina called Caroline Stanbury ‘ghetto, trashy’

Reality TV

Those are fighting words.

Lesa Milan claimed that Nina Ali once called her pal Caroline Stanbury “ghetto” and “trashy” on Wednesday night’s episode of “The Real Housewives of Dubai.”

“So I’ve known Nina the longest and when Stanbury was trying to be friends with me, Nina would warn me to be careful of her and to be honest, some of the things she said were so horrible I won’t even repeat it,” Milan said in a confessional.

However, with a bit of encouragement from production, the Mina Roe maternity designer eventually spilled.

“Um, ‘She’s ghetto, she’s ratchet, she’s trashy,’” Milan said, describing Ali’s alleged insults.

She also implied that worse was said: “Those are the good things. All the things that I’m saying, those are the good things.”

Milan’s remarks came after a dinner with Caroline Brooks, during which the women discussed Ali and Stanbury’s path from foes to friends.

“Please explain to me when Nina Ali became best friends with Caroline Stanbury because from what I remember, Nina has been the only person in our friendship circle that has ever talked so badly about Caroline,” said Brooks.

The Glass House spa founder was particularly perplexed by a social media post that had been uploaded by Ali. The LipstickMommy blogger shared a photo of her and Stanbury with the following caption: “Every blond needs a brunette bestie.”

“This is why it’s so crazy to me. You know me, I cannot pretend. I’m not a pretender,” Milan told Brooks, adding that she wanted to avoid getting involved in any potential drama with Ali.

Later in the episode, while grabbing lunch with castmate Chanel Ayan, Ali owned up to the fact that she wasn’t always Stanbury’s biggest fan.

“Trust me Ayan, I didn’t like Stanbury when I first met her. I didn’t like her. She was not my cup of tea,” she explained to the model, who is experiencing her own issues with the “Ladies of London” alum.

“And the funny thing is when I talked to her, when I actually sat down and talked to her, she said, ‘You know what? I feel the same about you. I didn’t think you were my cup of tea either,’” All continued. “But I gave her the chance.”

Still, her candid admission in no way inspired Ayan to patch things up with Stanbury. “Nina, I see who you are. Flip-flopper, skyscraper, climbing the mother—king sky,” the Kenya native savagely said of her co-star in a confessional. “And she’s also very boring.”

“The Real Housewives of Dubai” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
