Everyone knows that The Kardashians have a reputation for doing whatever it takes for beauty, and this time is not any different. According to the New York Times, Kim Kardashian let it be known that she will try anything to look young. As head Kardashian and leading the troupe of beauty, Kim shared, “I’ll try anything. If you told me that I literally had to eat poop every single day and I would look younger, I might, I just might.”
Now we know that the Kardashians have been known to go the distance for their beauty- I mean from cosmetic surgeries to boot-camp style workouts, so anything bizarre would really be common for the royal family of Calabasas. For the typical person, this may be a bit too much, but for Kim, the head curator of beauty, I think she probably would eat anything if it made her look younger.
The Kardashians, the family’s new show on Hulu, shows that in a world where it seems that only fame, wealth and looks matter, the most noble pursuit is to ‘be yourself’. At some point in the show, guest star James Cordon assures Khloe Kardashian how all the haters are meaningless, concluding: “Look! You’re drinking champagne at 4 p.m. on a Monday, and you’re at work! You’ve won.”
Aside from the show, Kim has been making the rounds promoting her upcoming skin-care line, SKKN by Kim. The skin-care line is not to be confused with her shapewear line, SKIMS. The skin-care involves a nine-step regiment that promises to allow the consumer to keep up with the Kardashians. Now the beauty mogul admitted the nine-step skin-care regimen is complex, revealing it “might seem scary to some” but hopes to make it more functional. “That’s why I’m here,” she shared, “to break it down, to be like, ‘They’re all necessary.’”
With the nine products setting you back $630, it is certainly tough to say if the skin-care line will be as successful as Kim’s shapewear and other beauty lines. Regardless, the skin-care line is poised to help erase years and reverse the time for some. The products are refillable, with replacement pods costing about 15 percent less than the original packaging if that is a concession. Even more interesting, doing so to my knowledge, without any of the product ingredients actually being poop.
