In June of 2020, Vanderpump Rules stars Kristen Doute and Stassi Schroeder were fired for racist behavior. In 2018, Stassi and Kristen accused the only Black VPR cast member, Faith Stowers, of stealing clothing and credit cards. They actually called the police. Faith was innocent and felt “so vindicated” when her co-stars were fired.
Faith insisted that Pump Rules co-star Brittany Cartwright made racist comments about her appearance. Brittany denied her accusations. As you may recall, Faith slept with Jax Taylor, Brittany’s boyfriend. VPR viewers also wanted Jax to get the ax after he also made comments about Faith.
In December of 2020, Jax and Brittany exited the show. Then Lisa Vanderpump spilled some tea that it may not have been their decision.
Even after Stassi and Kristen were fired, plenty of their co-stars wished they could return. Lala Kent wanted Stassi to return. Katie Maloney was vocal about wanting Brittany, Kristen, and Stassi to come back to Pump Rules. Even Lisa wished that Kristen and Stassi could have been part of the Season 9 cast. Lisa remarked, “I would have preferred to chastise them and see them learn from their mistakes as we’ve seen so many youngsters do on the show. But that was Bravo’s decision.”
Page Six reported that Stassi dropped a bomb about the incident that led to her firing on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her podcast. “I mean the cast members I’m friends with, everyone was there, I mean they witnessed… Lots of other people were a part of what went down,” Stassi shared.
“There were more people involved in ‘the incident’ that I was fired for. … And Kristen and I, obviously we were not gonna take people down with us,” Stassi stated. “So, we were like ‘Lucky you guys, those of you who didn’t get called out for this.’” She added, “So everyone was pretty kind because I think they were feeling lucky that they didn’t, that they still had a job.” Could Stassi and Kristen really keep this information to themselves?
Stassi also claimed that she had many supporters in the crew and cast who tried to sway Bravo’s mind about firing her. Meanwhile, after losing her podcast and some endorsements, Stassi is apparently on an upswing. She published a book, Off with my Head: The Definitive Basic Bitch Handbook to Surviving Rock Bottom. The book landed on the New York Times’s best seller list, but it was suspected that Stassi bought her way on to the list.

After the Covid-19 pandemic postponed their dream wedding in Italy, Stassi and her fiancé Beau Clark quietly tied the knot in a backyard wedding ceremony in September of 2020. On January 7, 2021, the couple welcomed their daughter, Hartford Charlie Rose Clark.
Stassi and Beau got married again in Rome on May 12, 2022. But Stassi had to cut down the guest list due to budget concerns since Bravo was no longer footing the bill. And that meant uninviting some guests. Classy. Katie and her estranged husband, Tom Schwartz, were the only Pump Rules stars who attended. Kristen said that she was invited, but was at another wedding.
