Bruce Hornsby has enlisted Haim singer-guitarist Danielle Haim for a new song titled “Days Ahead.” The track comes with a music video that Hornsby directed and filmed himself during the pandemic. In the clip, 3D-printed characters can be seen rearranging furniture in a dollhouse, attempting to learn German, and pondering what to do next in their lives. Check that out below.
“Days Ahead” is taken from Hornsby’s new album ’Flicted, which is out today (May 27). The record was led by “Sidelines,” featuring Ezra Koenig (of Vampire Weekend) and Blake Mills. That song was co-written by Mills and co-produced by Ariel Rechtshaid.
’Flicted follows 2019’s Absolute Zero and 2020’s Non-Secure Connection. The new LP completes Hornsby’s trilogy based on film cues he composed for writer and director Spike Lee.
