Shep Rose and Austen Kroll React To Madison LeCroy Keeping Her Fiancé Off Southern Charm

Reality TV

2Southern Charm is set to return to Bravo on Thursday, June 23. The cast has gone through quite the switch-up since the last time we saw everyone all together. For one thing, Madison LeCroy and Austen Kroll are fully moved on from one another. That was made abundantly clear on Summer House and Winter House, in case you missed it. I highly recommend a binge if you have the time.

In the Southern Charm Season 8 preview, it looks like Austen has moved on to his newest victim castmate, Olivia Flowers. In an interview with Us Weekly, he insulted every other woman on the cast who gave his un-earned two cents on his latest conquest.

Olivia is this lovely, lovely woman who is now a cast member,” he revealed. “I’m just so excited for people to meet her. … She truly, in my opinion, brings the charming back to our show. She is the exact type of person that we should have around, like, we want to be around her. So it was so exciting [to have her on board].”

Austen asserted his position saying, “I’ve known her now for a year and a half. You will certainly see where it begins, then how it ends. And it certainly is some ebb and flows as I’m trying to figure it out.” Oh, you silly. Always lost in love and never learning a single lesson. Are we bored yet?

Madison, on the other hand, is making steady progress with her new fiance, Brett Randle. These two got engaged in October of 2021, but don’t expect to see any of that on the Bravo show.

“Does he exist is the question,” Shep asked Us Weekly. “He’s a hologram.” Austen added that he “didn’t even know Brett’s name.” Nor should he, if you ask me.

Austen admitted that he and Madison “don’t really orbit each other much.” Whatever that means. Shep added that Madison and Austen’s relationship is still “pretty frosty” following their breakup.

The Season 8 preview showed Shep questioning how he is even sharing the same air as useless Austen. It seems he hasn’t taken sides in the split between the thinnest lipped man on Bravo and Madison. He explained, “[You say], ‘How are you doing?’ Because you feel like you’ve been through a lot of the same things together. … So I have a camaraderie with almost everybody who’s been on the show. And even if it’s not like, ‘Hey, let’s go on a weekend together.’ If I see ’em, if I see anybody, I’d give ’em a big hug.”

Here’s to Madison stunting on Austen in Season 8!
