Erika Jayne thinks Garcelle Beauvais can be “Pretty Mess”-y.
Jayne, 50, says that Beauvais, 55, broke a promise not to ask any more questions about her ongoing legal troubles. The latter Bravo star made the pledge on Wednesday night’s “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” Season 12 premiere.
“It was a relief [to hear her say that],” Jayne exclusively tells Page Six of the conversation she had with Beauvais after a private workout session. “But no, she didn’t [keep her promise].
“And of course, that’s really what you see also in the teaser [for the rest of the season],” she adds, teasing heated exchanges with Beauvais, Sutton Stracke and Crystal Kung Minkoff. “It goes on and on.”
The “XXPEN$IVE” singer filed for divorce from husband Tom Girardi in November 2020 after 21 years of marriage. One month later, the former couple was sued by Edelson PC for allegedly embezzling settlement funds meant for the victims of Lion Air Flight 610, whom Girardi represented.
The aftermath of the lawsuit — and questions from the “RHOBH” cast about Jayne’s knowledge of Girardi’s alleged wrongdoings — began playing out on Season 11 last year, infuriating the “Pretty Mess” author at times.
Jayne, who denied the charges against her, was eventually dismissed from the fraud suit in January. (However, she is now facing a $50 million racketeering lawsuit and a $2.1 million “aiding and abetting” lawsuit.)
After Jayne told Beauvais on this week’s premiere — which was filmed last fall — that she was hopeful to emerge victorious from her court-related miseries, the former co-host of “The Real” expressed skepticism in a subsequent confessional.
“It’s disappointing if I didn’t think that it would happen,” Jayne says of brushing off Beauvais’ shade. “Sometimes reactions are expected out of certain people and you’ve been around someone long enough to know exactly where they’re going.”
Beauvais said on “Beverly Hills” that Jayne was “in denial” about her legal situation, an assertion that confuses the Pretty Mess Hair founder.
“I came to this positive place through sheer will and not giving up and not quitting and not being beat. I refuse to be beat,” Jayne says. “So when she says ‘denial,’ I’m not quite sure what she means. I’m not quite sure that she knows what she means.”
Although Jayne seems uninterested in mending her fractured friendship with Beauvais, the “Love Me as I Am” author told Page Six last month that she wouldn’t mind making up — even after Jayne infamously threw her memoir in the trash.
“I’ve always liked Erika,” Beauvais said. “Let’s see what happens.”
“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
