“Mindhunter” Season 3 Would’ve Taken the Team to Hollywood

Horror

The second season of Don Mancini‘s “Chucky” series is headed to USA and SYFY this coming Fall, and The Wrap reports today that production on Season 2 is now underway!

The site also reports that Brad Dourif and Jennifer Tilly will both be back for “Chucky” Season 2, as expected, with returning cast also including Zackary Arthur as Jake Wheeler, Björgvin Arnarson as Devon Evans, Alyvia Alyn Lind as Lexy Cross, Alex Vincent as Andy Barclay, Christine Elise as Kyle and Barbara Alyn Woods as Mayor Michelle Cross.

“We’re thrilled to start pulling the strings on a second season of puppet mayhem with Chucky,” franchise creator Mancini, who executive produces the series, recently said. “Many thanks to our partners at USA, Syfy and UCP for their incredible support and guidance bringing Chucky to the small screen, bigger than ever. And to the fans, Chucky sends his still-undying thanks, and a message: ‘This isn’t over, not by a long shot. You better watch your backs in 2022!’”

For the first season, Brad Dourif returned as Chucky and Tilly as Tiffany, which continued the storylines from the *original* movies and their recent sequels, Curse and Cult of Chucky. Other returning stars included Fiona Dourif as Nica Pierce, Alex Vincent as Andy Barclay, and Christine Elise as Kyle. Devon Sawa (Final DestinationHunter Hunter) also starred.

“Chucky” has been described as a “fresh take on the franchise” that “explores Chucky’s character with a depth that is uniquely afforded by the television series format.”

In the series, “After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.”

“Chucky” is produced by UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, and executive produced by creator Don Mancini, David Kirschner, Nick Antosca, Alex Hedlund and Harley Peyton.
