As Braunwyn Windham-Burke’s relationship with girlfriend Victoria Brito heats up, her husband has a new woman of his own.
“After about a year of being ‘single’ I’ve been on a handful of dates with someone new,” Sean Burke tells Page Six exclusively, without revealing the identity of his lady friend.
“It’s taken me a long time to even start dating because of work and adjusting to co-parenting,” adds the businessman, who shares kids Bella, 21, Rowan, 19, Jacob, 16, twins Curran and Caden, 9, Koa, 7, and Hazel, 4, with the former “Real Housewives of Orange County” star.
“For right now, my priority is my family and my business ahead of anything else,” Sean continues. “But I am excited to see what the future holds.”
Braunwyn, 44 — who made history as the first openly gay “Real Housewife” when she came out as a lesbian in December 2020 — is equally delighted to see Sean, 48, jump back into the dating pool.
“While there are always going to be bumps in the road while Sean and I navigate our modern relationship, especially with the additions of newcomers like Vic or anyone Sean is dating,” she tells us, “I am beyond thrilled and happy that Sean is getting himself out there like I have.”
Braunwyn went public with Brito in December 2021 and has since moved in with the model and dancer in a luxe flat in Brooklyn, New York. She currently splits her time between the Big Apple and Orange County, where the majority of her family lives.
Though Braunwyn’s relationship with Brito continues to flourish, she remains married to Sean. She presently refers to Sean as her “ex-husband” out of respect for her current partner, but Braunwyn has no imminent plans to divorce him.
The mother of seven — who announced her separation from Sean in the summer of 2021 after 26 years of marriage — told Page Six in February that this “unique dynamic” works for their expansive brood.
“We’re literally taking this day by day. I’ve never seen this done before. As of right now, I don’t have a desire to [divorce Sean]. Further down the line, would one of us like to get remarried? It will probably happen and then we’ll reevaluate then,” she explained in a joint interview with daughter Rowan.
“But I’m in a relationship with someone who knows exactly what my situation is with Sean,” she elaborated. “I know a lot of people who are divorced or getting divorced and they’re miserable. Sean and I are doing great right now. It’s working. Everyone understands what’s happening.”
Rowan noted that her mom and dad will always be “really close” whether or not they legally dissolve their marriage.
“They’ve built a whole life together and have had seven kids together. They’re still best friends. Just because my mom likes women doesn’t mean that they can’t be best friends and raise these kids together, which I think is amazing,” the West Hollywood-based artist said of the pair.
“They will always be a team and I’m just so happy they’re both happy.”
