Selling Sunset Season 5 Trailer Has Been Released

Reality TV

It’s here. It’s here. It is finally here. I mean, could it have taken any longer? Netflix just released the Season 5 trailer of Selling Sunset. Fingers crossed we are finally going to get answers to the questions we’ve been asking. Rather the questions I’ve been asking. On repeat.

We already know that Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim start dating. Openly. No more Mary Fitzgerald sneakiness. We also know that they break up. And it has to do with wanting kids. And not dogs that you treat like kids. But how exactly does all this play out?

Also, are we going to meet Peter Cornell? Now that he works in the Oppenheim Group. With both Emma Hernan and Christine Quinn? Will he explain why he and Emma own a house together? Will Heather Rae Young be part of this conversation? These are the things I need to know.

Speaking of Heather, how much of her wedding to Tarek El Moussa will be shown? We know she doesn’t invite Christine. But the rest of the cast is invited. Will that include newbie Chelsea Lazkani? Cause that’s going to bring some drama, considering she’s now besties with Christine. April 22nd can’t come soon enough. At least for now, we have the trailer. And let me just say, it’s looking good.

Us Weekly has the scoop. And per usual, Christine has come to play. In a convo with Maya Vander, she makes no bones about the nepotism that’s going on in the Selling Sunset office. Going so far as to blame Chrishell dating (only she doesn’t phrase it that nicely) the boss, on why she hasn’t gotten any listings lately. Wait, but isn’t that her job? Asking for a friend.

According to Maya, “It is risky when you’re in an office and you’re obviously dating your boss.” To which Christine replies, “I was wondering why I wasn’t getting listings, and then I was like, ‘Oh, yeah, it’s because I’m not f–king my boss.’” As I say to my kids, “language.”

No signs of Peter, thus far. Le sigh. And not too much of Emma in the trailer, either. Although I wonder if he could be the mystery guy with Emma by the pool? We can still hold out hope.

We do see, however, a rather uncomfortable conversation between Jason, Chrishell, and another woman (his mom?) about children in their future. With the woman asking, “what is with you guys and babies,” while Jason visibly sweats. So, there’s that.

Mary gushes, “I would just love it if Chrishell and Jason got married. I just don’t want Jason to hurt her thought.” Ouch. Foreshadowing much?

Speaking of Mary, it looks like she’s management material. Yet another perk of dating the boss at one point and co-parenting dogs with him. Not shading Mary’s real estate abilities, but Jason definitely plays favorites, and doesn’t even try to hide it.

But I do love the thinly veiled threat she throws Christine‘s way. “If you want to be part of the brokerage, you need to stop disrespecting the other agents.” Christine, ever the class act (NOT!), rolls her eyes like my tween daughter and responds with, “I have never once instigated a situation.” Ha!

Cut to Heather Rae El Moussa‘s wedding shower, that Christine was not invited to, but chose to send an over-the-top gift to anyway. As Amanza Smith says, “That gift was to make sure her presence was known.” Way to not take accountability.

We also get to see the start of Chelsea and Christine‘s friendship. The two bond over calling other people peasants and ‘waving’ at all the little people. How nice. Christine also announces that “[Chelsea and I] are about to take over.” Not instigating, my foot.

All-in-all, it’s shaping up to be a great season. I for one can’t wait.  Check out the Selling Sunset trailer below.
