Carole Radziwill Says She Wouldn’t Join Real Housewives Of New York Spin-Off; Says It Would Be An “Epic Fail” On Her Part

Reality TV

I guess Carole Radziwill has been drinking more haterade. The former Real Housewives of New York star has been extremely vocal about her disdain for the series since she left in 2018. She spent six seasons on the show but conveniently quit after a falling out with then bestie, Bethenny Frankel. But Carole denied that was the true cause of her departure and cited her issues with the show’s executives instead.

Carole said , “I was having tons of arguments–not with other cast members, with the executives at the network. It was time to go. They knew, too. Ultimately you do know when something is behind you.”

Since then, she has done nothing but disparage the franchise and pretty much everyone involved in it. Naturally, with the announcement of a new RHONY spin-off, Carole is back at it. The series, tentatively titled Real Housewives Of New York: Legacy, would feature past cast members. But as reported by Page Six, Carole is not even remotely interested. On an episode of the podcast  Andy’s Girls with Sarah Galli , Carole didn’t bother to hold back.

She began, “Taking the fans’ desire for me to come back, and putting that aside (because I love them)….if I went back I would sort of consider that to be an epic fail on my part.” She added, “I would not go back, I could not have one more conversation about anything with any of them.”

Carole also revealed that her exit RHONY was because it was “affecting my mental health….the fans of the show are amazing and I love them. My beef was always with Bravo and production. Would I ever come back? I would not. But I appreciate the fans’ loyalty. Life is a marathon and you know how I feel about loyalty.” So umm, who are these fans Carole is speaking of? I hate to admit it now, but I was a fan of Carole on the show. Since she left, it’s been all sour grapes for her, which is just really disappointing.

She continued of RHONY: Legacy, “I don’t even get that show. I could see it running for a few episodes and then where are they going to go with that? It’s always going to compete with the show on Bravo, because the legacy show is going to be on Peacock.” Carole claimed, “I know they’re really short on, they’re really struggling to populate Peacock with, with shows. So.”

But she might have another reason for her criticism of the new series. According to Carole, she pitched her own show to Peacock. The premise would be that she and a group of her friends would renovate homes in upstate New York. Yeah, that sounds boring. She explained, “Kind of like ‘City Slickers’ go upstate.” But the network passed. Carole griped, “I thought it would be perfect for Peacock, but obviously they had bigger and better plans with RHONY Legacy shows.” Guess so.
