Kourtney Kardashian And Travis Barker Are Not Legally Married Yet

Reality TV

Despite what we were led to believe, it seems like Travis Barker isn’t officially a Kardashian — at least not yet. Kourtney Kardashian and Travis blew up the internet after the Grammys weekend when news broke that they tied the knot in a secret Las Vegas wedding ceremony. Since then, questions have remained on whether or not they actually got a marriage license. Now, Page Six is reporting that they did not. There was nothing legally binding, so Travis and Kourtney technically aren’t married.

Page Six reported the news after an insider revealed that the two never actually obtained a marriage license, meaning the Vegas ceremony was just for kicks. “They had a ceremony, but on paper, it’s not legal yet,” the insider said. The outlet also confirmed that no records exist of a marriage license or application in Clark County, Nevada.

Kourtney and Travis went to the One Love Wedding Chapel at 1:30 AM after the Grammys to get married by an Elvis impersonator because that’s what you do when you’re in your forties and in Vegas, right? The two didn’t allow the venue to take any photos, opting to bring their own photographers and security instead. And although the wedding chapel’s website says that they won’t marry anyone without a wedding license, it seems like they made a special exception for the A-list couple. After all, it’s not like you can just turn away Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker when they come knocking on your chapel door.

We’ll have to stay tuned for the real Kourtney and Travis wedding. They got engaged in October 2021, so it’s probably only a matter of time before they make things official. Although we all followed her long-term relationship with Scott Disick on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, we mustn’t forget that this is Kourtney’s first time getting married. And if there’s one thing we know about the Kardashians, it’s that they don’t marry quietly. So, when the time comes for the couple to really walk down the aisle, they will make sure that it’s over the top and highly publicized.
