Shikanoin Heizou is an unreleased Genshin Impact character and a detective working for the Tenryou Commission in Inazuma. A subject of recent discussion online, Heizou has yet to be officially announced for release, although he is likely to be playable in the future. Much information can be gleaned about this character thanks to multiple mentions of him within the game, as well as through various online rumors and leaks regarding his element, release date, and more.
Speculating upon future character releases is not uncommon within the Genshin Impact community, as new characters are a core component of the game and many players are eager to grind for future character releases as soon as possible. Heizou’s character has already been mentioned and teased within the game multiple times, having been named in four playable character voice-overs, a few NPC dialogues, multiple bulletin boards around Inazuma, and in conversation during Genshin Impact‘s Bantan Sango Case Files event. Beyond that, thanks to rampant leaks that have been doing the rounds online, more information has surfaced regarding this new playable character – although this information is, of course, unconfirmed and subject to change.
Based on the information provided in the game, it has been confirmed that Shikanoin Heizou is an Inazuman detective working for the Tenryou Commission and that he has somewhat of a negative reputation among the other Inazuman characters. Kamisato Ayaka and Kujou Sara both note their distaste for him in their voiceovers, mentioning how he ostensibly acts based upon his own personal principles rather than following the rules. Genshin Impact‘s Thoma outright admits that Heizou is “not the easiest person to get along with“ and that situations involving him usually do not end well. When speaking to Kano Nana, the shrine maiden at the Grand Narukami Shrine, she reveals that she is actually the distant cousin to Heizou and worries about his habit of getting into trouble. Heizou has also previously worked with the Bantan Sango Detective Agency on a case that presumably did not end well, as a bulletin board message written by Bantan Sango himself mentions that Heizou is “a liar and a charlatan.“
Genshin Impact New Playable Character Leaks – Shikanoin Heizou
Many players theorized that Shikanoin Heizou’s release would come alongside Genshin Impact‘s 2.6 update, however, due to the fact that there has been no official indication of a release in the next update, it has been rumored that he is more likely to be released in the 2.8 update. Leaks regarding Heizou have been covered by the popular Genshin Impact leak account SaveYourPrimos on Twitter, which claims that Heizou is a four-star Anemo character and has the shortest character model when compared to all other previous playable characters released thus far. Heizou’s weapon type still remains in question, although the popular rumor as of now is that he could potentially be a catalyst user.
While Genshin Impact character leaks are not representative of official in-game content, many leaks in the past have proven to be correct or partially correct regarding character releases. Shikanoin Heizou’s official release date is still up in the air, but current evidence points to him being a playable character that will be added in the future. He may also be one of the last few characters released for the Inazuma region as each new Genshin Impact update brings players closer and closer to the highly anticipated Sumeru region.
