Erika Jayne is facing even more legal issues. All in the midst of filming a rumored explosive new season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. This time the bad news is in the form of a new $2.1 million lawsuit.
As reported by People, Erika and her company, EJ Global, LLC were named in a $2.1 million complaint. The filed documents are claiming she Erika “aided and abetted” estranged husband Tom Girardi and his law firm in their alleged financial misdeeds. The suit comes just days after it was announced that EJ Global was suspended amid bankruptcy proceedings.
Erika’s attorney, Evan Borges, wasted no time firing back. He stated, “The complaint is another misguided effort to blame Erika for the conduct of others in which she had no part.” Evan continued, “Erika has no law degree and never worked at or managed her former husband’s law firm. Whatever Mr. Girardi or others at his law firm did or said to the plaintiffs in this case, Erika had no knowledge or role in any of it. The focus should be on Mr. Girardi, his law firm, and anyone else who enabled what he did. Piling on Erika may generate publicity, but it’s without any basis in reality.”
The lawsuit was filed on behalf of attorney Manuel H. Miller and Kathleen Bajgrowicz. Kathleen is the mother of late NFL star Chuck Osborne. Chuck died in 2012 after multiple head traumas. Tom and Manuel both represented Kathleen when she sued the NFL for her son’s death. The two attorneys agreed to share the fees from the settlement.

After it was reached, Tom was responsible for dispersing the funds to Kathleen and Manuel. But they claim Tom “lulled Plaintiffs into believing that the funds could not be distributed to anyone until various issues were first resolved.” They added, “Unknown to Plaintiffs, Girardi had already taken their money and breached his and the firm’s fiduciary duty to distribute the funds to Plaintiffs.”
The suit against Erika claims that Erika “knew about the scheme.” The scheme in which Tom allegedly held on to settlement money that was owed to clients and co-counsel. In addition, it accuses Erika of being aware that the victims were “funding her notoriously lavish lifestyle.” Which was regularly flaunted on her gig as a housewife.

The complaint also asserts that Erika was “intimately involved in Girardi & Keese’s business dealings.” The suit continued, “Defendants knew that Plaintiffs were fraud victims but did nothing to protect them and instead prioritized their own financial gain at Plaintiffs’ expense. Defendants should be required to compensate Plaintiffs for the harm they have caused and should be punished for aiding and abetting Girardi’s breach of fiduciary duty and their financial elder abuse of Plaintiffs.”
